Uchooze Peer Education Programme

Uchooze is based on consultation with over 1,000 young people aged 12-17. They have identified the social issues that affect their lives, set the learning objectives and created the 4 short films that the resource is built around.

The consultation element considers each of the issues from the young person’s perspective. We want to know how these issues affect the lives of young people and most importantly, what they perceive to be the key areas of awareness and learning that will help their peers to stay safe.

The format is simple and engaging so it can be delivered in a variety of settings including sports clubs and community groups. It is suitable for classroom use supporting PHSE and Citizenship objectives but it can also be used in community settings by emergency services personnel, youth workers and local authority officers.
