Police Boxing Clubs Joining

APPLICATION TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE POLICE COMMUNITY CLUBS OF GREAT BRITAIN

BOXING SECTION

Thank you for considering membership of the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain ‘ Boxing Section’.

If your application is successful, you will be joining a ‘multi sport, multi activity’ organisation, which promotes all sports in an endeavor to enhance citizenship, inclusion, sportsmanship and good health

Whilst we welcome your interest in our boxing section, we must point out the following matters, which must be acknowledged before your application is considered:

Signature to, and acceptance of the Rules of the Police Clubs GB and the points raised in this letter should be sent with your application, see separate declaration at the end of this section

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE OVERIDING PRINCIPLES OF APPLICATION / MEMBERSHIP OF THE ‘BOXING SECTION’

  • Membership of the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain ‘Boxing Section’ does not in any way compromise a club’s position within their respective England Boxing [EB] Regional Association
  • All clubs within the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain ‘Boxing Section’ must incorporate the word ‘Police’ within their title. – AND must have a serving or retired member of the Police Service on their committee

NOTE: – It is not sufficient to merely add to a club title ‘A member of the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain’

  • All rules of the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain ‘Boxing section’ must be accepted before your application is considered

FURTHER POINTS TO NOTE:

  • The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain ‘Boxing Section’ is not a funding body however, we shall at all times seek to provide advice with regard to seeking funding from other bodies
  • No membership fees are levied or participant entry fees requested to any tournament or event which is staged by the The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain ‘Boxing Section’
  • Whenever possible, all ‘Boxing Section’ clubs will be considered when matching tournaments involving representative teams of ‘The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain Boxing Section’ both in the United Kingdom and beyond
  • All reasonable expenses, excluding assembly costs, will be paid to all selected / appointed members of teams traveling overseas [which includes the Isle of Man and Channel Islands] to tournaments organised by The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain Boxing Section
  • Travel expenses shall be paid to all clubs [one fee only] who are selected / appointed by the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain to any UK based tournament / event. Such payment shall be based on fuel expenditure only
  • It is expected that full exposure of a Police Community Club be sought in all media and that any press releases / reports reflect your membership
  • Assistance is provided to all clubs within the ‘Police Community Clubs of Great Britain Boxing Section’, who wish to make application for charitable status
  • All Boxing Section Clubs may participate in any other sporting activity or competition in any sport organised by the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain
  • All clubs within the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain Boxing Section will be expected to deliver ‘only’ Police Clubs programmes and projects when delivering non-contact boxing / citizenship programmes within clubs, schools and colleges

The attached ‘Certificate of Acceptance’ should be forwarded with any application to join the ‘The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain’

Signed copies will constitute an acceptance by your club of the rules of the ‘Police Community Clubs of Great Britain Boxing Section’ and the provisions outlined in this proforma, if your application is successful

It should be noted that this letter, does not provide an exhaustive schedule of rules or activities of the ‘The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain’, for further information, please contact the Secretary or Development Officer of the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain.
